Wye Oak Therapeutics is a small, personal, family friendly practice catering to clients on the eastern and western shore.  Our office’s are located on Kent Island and we have options for both remote and on-site, in person therapy.

THERAPIST / COUNSELOR

We are looking for qualified THERAPIST/COUNSELOR candidates to join our team in Stevensville, MD! The Ideal candidate is passionate and reliable; wanting to be a part of a growing program. Workload consists of maintaining therapy caseload, promoting and supporting clients’ mental health, maintaining detailed and accurate records of each session with clients, creating treatment plans for clients, conducting assessments of each clients’ progress, and working with clients’ families to help them offer the most appropriate support.

We are seeing a self-starter with innovative ideas, a passion for therapy, and an enthusiasm for new opportunities. Currently, we are conducting sessions both in-person and tele-health. And, we offer a very flexible Schedule!

Position Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or relevant field.
  • Licensed with MD Board of Social Worker in good standing (LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C, LGSW, etc).
  • LCADC, CAC-AD, ADT
  • Experience with children and/or adults
  • Experience with cognitive behavior therapy and other evidence-based models.
  • Preferred 1+ years’ experience working with psychotherapy patients is preferred, but will train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of techniques such as motivational interviewing, treatment goal setting, assessing client readiness to change.
  • Available at least 12 hours a week (part-time)

Job Functions Include

  • Providing therapy for individuals, in-person or virtually, using evidence-based psychotherapy (psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, etc)
  • Commitment to measurement based-care
  • Promptly responding to clients to ensure all needs are met.
  • Adhering to HIPPA guidelines, rules and regulations.
  • Working with a collaborative team.

We are located in Stevensville on Kent Island.  Just off Maryland’s Route 50 at the last exit before the Bay Bridge.

At the intersection travel approximately 1 mile North on Business Parkway to your second left onto Schooner Parkway.  In approximately 275′ turn Right onto Log Canoé Circle.  Wye Oak Therapeutic Services is located in the Corsica Building within the Chesapeake Bay Business Park in Suite J2 at 139 Log Canoé Circle.
